Product Information for Healthcare Professionals

Reflor is for the treatment of respiratory infections (pneumonia) in cattle caused by Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni associated with raised body temperatures. Resflor is a combination product containing a broad spectrum antibiotic, florfenicol, and flunixin meglumine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

Responsible use of Antibiotics

One of the active ingredients in Resflor is an antibiotic (Florfenicol). When used correctly, antibiotics have an important role by maintaining health and welfare of animals. However, there are concerns that resistance or resistant bacteria could be transferred from animal to human health, and vice versa, and reduce the effectiveness of some antibiotic treatments. It is vital that antibiotics are used in the correct and appropriate manner to minimise this possibility.

MSD Animal Health supports the responsible use of antibiotics.
